You've helped me solve a mystery - I've seen reviews and ads for Leviathan being a steampunk novel, but the one I saw at Fullers was a non-fiction about whales..... The steampunk is by Scott Westerfield and (running to get Nick's Chrissie pressie from Dad) "Leviathan" by Philip Hoare is subtitled "or, the Whale". is a non-fiction book. (Which incidentally has nice prints and archaic pictures too. I'm clear now. THANK YOU!
